Shell crater in rear of 113th FA Bn CP in Heerlebaan, Holland.  During the night the Germans fired 19 rounds. They landed all around us but, fortunately for us, none his us.  October, 1944

Some cows were killed during the night's shelling of Heerlebaan, Holland.  These dead cows were butchered and divided among the civilian population who had had very little meat.  Oct. 1944
